Translations of texts relating to Eddessan migration talk

I am giving a talk on the First Syrian Migration 345AD, on 14th August 2021, on the Hymonutho facebook page. During this talk, I will refer to a number of texts which were written in Malayalam and which I have translated into English. These translations were originally produced for my PhD thesis, and they are posted here for reference.

  1. Manichaeism in India.

3. Matthai Vettikkunnel letter

Part of a letter by the priest Matthai Vettikkunnel in 1720. Malayāḷathiloḷḷa Suriyānikkārkka bhavicca bhavithaṅṅgal (The catastrophes that have befallen the Syrians of Malayala). Translated into English by Sarah Knight.

4. Various Syrian Christian sources in Malayalam

Part of an appendix with translations of texts collated from different sources, relating to key elements of the narrative history of the Syrian Christians. Summarised and translated by Sarah Knight.

5. Copper plate charters

A table showing the different copper plate charters in Kerala relating to the history of the Syrian Christians.
